The graphic design and programming summer school has successfully ended!
During the past 3 weeks, the students who participated in the graphic design and programming summer school had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basic concepts of programming and design and learn new techniques in both sections.
At the end of the design and informatics summer schools, the children had already created their own game projects and had mastered the basic design techniques.
The courses were mainly practical, which we accept as the best way to learn and apply new knowledge and techniques.
The program aims to build basic skills and knowledge in programming and robotics among children aged 7-17 years.
The program is implemented for the eighth year in a row by “IT Academy” JSC, “Plovdiv Tech Park” JSC, the Institute of Informatics and Innovative Technologies and the Private Vocational High School of Informatics and Computer Sciences “Academic Blagovest Sendov”.
We thank our partners “IT Academy” JSC, “Plovdiv Tech Park” JSC and Private Professional High School of Informatics and Computer Sciences “Academician Blagovest Sendov”, who invited us again to get involved in the training of children in programming and robotics.
For three weeks, the students got acquainted with the basics of computer science in the building of PGIKN “Akademik Blagovest Sendov”. The classes were held by Hachik Yazadzhiyan – Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Institute of Informatics and Innovative Technologies and Atanas Kostov – Executive Director of ” IT Academy ” JSC
Training emphasis was placed on creating 2D games with Unity and C#.
Through interactive lectures, hands-on exercises and projects, we learned how to design and develop games.
On several of the days, the students were also introduced to the basics of robotics, electronics and programming of Arduino robots.
In addition to improving technical skills, the summer school provided an opportunity for students to work as a team.
After the training part was completed, a final session was held with demonstrations of what the children had learned.
In parallel with this, the graphic design summer school was held!
Over the past weeks, participants have had the opportunity to explore a variety of topics related to graphic design, including: drawing techniques, composition building, color science, and working with software tools.
During the program, the youth worked on several projects that helped them improve their design skills, such as creating collages, business cards, etc.
One of the most important advantages of the graphic design summer school was that we could see the passion of the students and how their skills and creativity improved every day. The acquired knowledge will undoubtedly serve them in the future.
We are delighted to have had the chance to work with such a motivated and talented group of young people and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the world of new technology.
